The Visual Music Village

for Visual Music Artists, Writers, and Venues

I feel ashamed when I remember how little I liked Mozart's music when I was a teenager (that was a long time ago).
It seemed so superficial, so "childish."
Little did I know...

Mozart has the uncanny ability to take pain and transmute it into beauty, but not as a "pain killer," the pain is still there, fully, but to make it beautiful "also."

This sketch was done with/for/to the second movement (Andante) of his String Quartet no.4 in C major, K.157, here magnificently interpreted by the Jerusalem Quartet.

There's nothing I would love better than to have the privilege of improvising images to/for this music during a live concert.
