for Visual Music Artists, Writers, and Venues
The main idea of this audiovisual piece is to experiment with the relation between 'musical movement' and 'spatial movement'. Geometric lines are used to translate music gestures and vice-versa. As example of this, a music rest can be expressed in different ways using a geometric rest. Lines have some common features which can be appreciated along the workpiece: they are not perfectly straight, they are close to horizontality or verticality. Some simple mathematical algorithms have been used to create the visual effects. A programming interface has been created, which allows the user to create geometry and manipulate it 'on the fly' while performing.
