Ma Mère l'Oye (In Memoriam Duo Crommelynck)

It's believed that many people know and remember exactly where they were and what they were doing when they heard the announcement of JFK's death.
I can certainly say the same thing when, in 1994, I heard on the radio the news of the death of the "Duo Crommelynck," a magnificent duo formed by Patrick Crommelynck and Taeko Kuwata.
They (as did Jordi Savall and Montserrat Figueras) represented for me the ideal couple, united in music and in life (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Duo_Crommelynck).
For some unknown reasons, the Duo Crommelynck has often been in my thoughts lately, and as usual, I try my best to serve those elusive thoughts (much of my work "feeds" on them), hence this piece.

Five movements:
1. Pavane de la Belle au bois dormant
2. Petit Poucet
3. Laideronnette, impératrice des pagodes
4. Les entretiens de la belle et de la bête
5. Le jardin féerique
(more info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ma_mère_l%27oye)

An earlier video (2010), done with an excerpt of the orchestral version of "Ma Mère l'Oye" is available here: http://vimeo.com/77226886
