La mort du dragon fou qui s’ennuie (Death of a bored crazy dragon)

Cette chanson de Richard Desjardins m’accompagne depuis une dizaine d'années.
J’ai finalement osé la mettre en images, et ce fut loin d’être facile, son apparente simplicité cache des horizons immenses.
Le texte évoque quelque chose d’infini, très ancré dans notre présent et, probablement, malheureusement, dans notre “futur” également.

Depuis ma découverte des écrits de Nazim Hikmet par l’intermédiaire du magnifique oratorio composé par Fazil Say (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e32iN2rmUXs#t=32), je perçois un réel parallèle entre ce que cette belle chanson de Richard Desjardins évoque, et ce que nous dit Nazim Hikmet: “…I mean, however and wherever we are, we must live as if we will never die… The Earth will grow cold, a star amongst many, and one of the smallest, a gilded mote on blue velvet, I mean this, our great Earth. This earth will grow cold one day, not like a block of ice or a dead cloud even, but like an empty walnut it will roll along, in pitch-black space… You must grieve for this right now, you have to feel this sorrow now. For the world must be loved this much so that you may say 'I lived’. So that you may say 'I lived’. So that you may say ‘I lived’.”

La voix de Richard Desjardins, l’espace sonore qu’il crée et habite, la qualité de l’interprétation (et de l’enregistrement), tout cela contribue à la profondeur de cette chanson.
Je croix que Richard Desjardins connaît intimement cette tristesse dont parle Nazim Hikmet, sa voix porte en elle une immense mélancolie qui lui donne un côté quasi prophétique, voir mythique.
Ce qu’elle manifeste va bien au-delà des paroles…
