The Visual Music Village

for Visual Music Artists, Writers, and Venues

I have not (yet) seen the movie "The Talented Mr. Ripley," but each time this amazing music ("Crazy Tom," by Gabriel Yared) comes on the radio, it completely takes over the moment.
I have enormous faith in those encounters, they fuel everything I do.
Once that kind of connection is made, it's "just" a matter of time for conditions to become right for a new piece to be born.
In this case, it was obtaining the new Final Cut Pro (10.1, it rocks!) and a Mac capable of making it sing (but now, I have to figure out how to pay the rent!;-)..
I often see my work as being akin to writing some kind of messages in bottles, I recently came across an expression from Albert Einstein, "appeal to Eternity," which could fit what the work means to me even better.
So here's my very first piece in 2014, may it be the first of many.

Final Cut Pro X (10.1) and a fast Mac provide the most supportive environment for intuitive editing I have ever experienced since going digital. It takes some doing to come to terms with the "magnetic timeline" (thanks to the "p" key), but it is worth the steep learning curve.
