The Visual Music Village

for Visual Music Artists, Writers, and Venues

Kathleen Ferrier's voice carries an immense emotion.
In my opinion, she manifests the (seemingly) inescapable suffering of all life.
Yet, she is a master at making manifest the truth of what is so beautifully said by Yehudi Menuhin: "Each human being has the eternal duty of transforming what is hard and brutal into a subtle and tender offering, what is crude into refinement, what is ugly into beauty, ignorance into knowledge, confrontation into collaboration, thereby rediscovering the child's dream of a creative reality incessantly renewed by death, the servant of life, and by life, the servant of love."
How far we are here from the (simplistic) "pursuit of happiness!"
How far we are from the dictatorship of "life is a bitch and then you die..."
This sketch is yet another attempt at "oblique progression," working with/for/to music, but not directly "illustrating" it.
