The Visual Music Village

for Visual Music Artists, Writers, and Venues

“As if forever alone on desert island…”
This has been my mantra for well over half a century, I owe that to a great drawing teacher who helped me connect with my deepest intrinsic motivation.
It's helped me through tough times and has given me access to “stuff” which, to this day, so many years after it all started, continues to make my life worth living.
And amongst the many musics I listen to with my eyes, Erik Satie’s is one of the ones which comes closest to that initial feeling.

This sketch is a screen capture of practice runs for a live performance of improvised music-images. As usual, I practice with various music, and this beautiful rendition of Satie's music by Pascal Rogé http://www.pascalroge.com/ was a joy to work with.
There's is absolutely no attempt to produce techno fireworks, nor a “product” (“movie”), this is akin to sketching by oneself at a window, on a quiet and sunny early morning. No one else is around, there is nobody to "impress,” indeed, it is simply working/living "as if forever alone on a desert island…”

Yet, "alone together…"

Please consider supporting my work (VERY MUCH in need of support these days). You can make donations via PayPal, starting from here : http://www.vudici.net/movies/morphing.html#new123108 (this type of work receives very little help, if any, from the usual channels).
Thank you
