At the Faculty of Music of the University of Montréal, Jean Detheux will present a lecture entitled:
"From pre-verbal perception to time-art,
from natural to digital media,
from still to moving images,
from silence to music,
in search of meaning,
as if on a desert island."
We will explore (some of) the differences between "fabricated" and "lived" abstraction, as well as the all-essential "sense-giving" and "sense-receiving" aspects of visual art.
