The images are from my work with the National Orchestra of Portugal in a performance at the magnificent Casa da Musica, Porto in September 2008. Multiple arrays of sensors captured nuance of performance expressive motion data from the various orchestra sections and conductor. This data, as well as the music, were collected at a workstation and mapped, manipulated and otherwise improvised as a real-time audiovisual performance to reflect the performance beyond solely auditory. Various lighting nuances and effects were also mapped to the orchestra output.

Other images shown are from the work with profoundly disabled individuals where they create images and music in real-time through whatever facility they have available. This fun user-experience is used as a motivator in rehabilitation training where often they move beyond prior restraints.
