La Folia

Stills from the film "La Folia," which is a dialogue between abstract images and Baroque music (Arcangelo Corelli's Variation on La Folia," interpreted by Quadro Janas).

Thanks Noel.
Am starting work on a new film with Paola Erdas (she is the harpsichordist in the Quadro Janas ensemble which recorded the music of "La Folia"). Paola recently recorded a new CD, mostly with music of Antonio de Cabezón's music (he was Philip II's favorite composer, just as Diego Velásquez was his favorite painter. I did my thesis exhibition when finishing art school many many years ago on Velásquez's "Las Meninas";-).
If you like La Folia, take a look at a more recent film, "Chaconne," it's a "pivotal" piece in my work, there is a before and an after that one.
