Event Description

Faculty Recital at Oakland University, Michigan, during which the Eastman Triana will perform works by Eremiasova, Khachaturian and Bartók.
Michaela Eremiasova's works, "Shade Lost" and "Shade Recovered," are set to visuals by Jean Detheux.
"Shade Recovered" will have its world premiere during that event.
This is also the first time the two pieces are performed during the same program.
They are very related as "Shade Lost" was created by compositing many video tracks in Final Cut Pro and disabling their color information, dealing strictly with black and white images as a result.
"Shade recovered" was done later by re-enabling the color information in the clips used for "Shade Lost," and editing the piece without any color manipulation/correction ("fortuitous accidents").
