Event Description
World premiere of a new "concert film," a film made this time prior to/without the music.
The concert will be presented two evenings in a row, July 10 and 11.
The American composer Pierre Jalbert wrote the music while looking at the silent images.
The film will be projected while the Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble will perform the music which will be recorded, recording which will later be used to make a "regular" film to be distributed on the usual formats.
Pierre Jalbert's score will be available from Bill Holab Music, with the silent film on DVD, for other ensembles to present and perform elsewhere.
