for Visual Music Artists, Writers, and Venues
Toccata Quarta (v. 6) from Jean Detheux on Vimeo.
This is the 6th version of a sketch done with this magnificent music so beautifully interpreted by Paola Erdas (http://www.paolaerdas.it/).
Paola and I will present our first ever “live images - music concert” in Trieste, on December 12 (more info about that soon), and if we will work with several pieces composed by Gesualdo da Venosa (1566 - 1613), this one will not be amongst them.
I approached it as an exercise in working in real time (the heart of the processes I will use in Trieste) and realizing I could not decide which one of the first five versions to use as source material, I used all 5, sort of “having my cake and eat it too!” ;-)
The first two versions are on Vimeo, here’s the first one: https://vimeo.com/53219756
and here’s the second one: https://vimeo.com/53777825
Please read the notes accompanying any of these earlier versions, they are so close to where “my" head is at these days, yet they were written quite a few years ago.

Please consider supporting my work (VERY MUCH in need of support these days). You can make donations via PayPal, starting from here : http://www.vudici.net/movies/morphing.html#new123108 (this type of work receives very little help, if any, from the usual channels).
Thank you
