for Visual Music Artists, Writers, and Venues
Music composed by Gesualdo da Venosa (1566 - 1613) and performed in concert by Paola Erdas (in Trieste, Italy, on December 6, 2011).
Paola's interpretation is amazing, the sudden switches in the music are treated as such, sudden switches, leaps, she does not gloss over those amazing moments, she manages to keep them as "strange" as (most likely) Gesualdo created them.
Other films made with/for/from Paola's beautiful music are available here: https://vimeo.com/tag:paolaerdas
One word of caution: the data rates supported by Vimeo are too low for the kind of images I create (drastic differences from frame to frame), there is a huge qualitative difference between my original images in Apple ProRes 422 (HQ) and whatever ends up on the web.
