Breaks on film shoots can easily mean stagnation or boredom; not, however, for Steven Woloshen, who fills this pause with footage and a lot of movement. With its relentless work on photos and footage, Aparicionesyields fascinating stuff, the fragility of moving structures in Sweeping Memories is combined with music to form an abstract dance, and Boogodobiegodongo entertains us with Dadaistic lightness. Michel Klöfkorn and Magda Matwiejew give us interwoven views on the portrayal of women, and we laugh with the outsiders who will come out as the winners in the end!
