:: 2013 Punto y Raya Short Film Call for Entries

This entry call is open to short films built up from dots and lines. No representation, only dots and lines as ends in themselves!

Under the motto Back to Basics, we invite authors to focus on the expressivity of all the constituent elements of audiovisual art in their purest form: color, motion, form & sound.

>> GENERAL RULES

: The films must be made entirely with abstract imagery, avoiding representation.

: You can use any technique you wish: drawing, video composition, cgi, scratch, op·art, stop·motion, camera·less...

: The soundtrack cannot feature any words. If you're using a song, this must be completely instrumental or feature non·narrative voices [that is, no lyrics!].

: The film production date must be no earlier than January 2008.

: Maximum running time is 8 minutes.

: We strongly advise you to enter your film/s in FULL HD (1920 x 1080, 25fps), because we'll screen all the selected works in that resolution.

: We will only accept entries in the following formats: .MOV | .AVI | .MP4

We recommend either not to use compressors, or use a universal codec such as H264.
