for Visual Music Artists, Writers, and Venues
Punto y Raya Academy was the first international symposium devoted to abstract art in motion. It was be held from May 7th through 10th 2015 at La Casa Encendida in Madrid (Spain), offering a playful and educational meeting point between artists, students, professionals and general audiences. The event featured 15 international deluxe artists such as Chris Casady, Robert Seidel, Steven Woloshen, Johan Rijpma, Józef Robakowski and Bret Battey (to name a few).
In the Masterclasses, our guests introduced us to their creative process, the pioneer techniques and technologies they have developed (which have gained them worldwide recognition), and their current work-in-progress, carrying out live demonstrations and/or illustrating with some of their short films.
In the Round Tables we approached issues related to the production and promotion of abstract audiovisual, and its application in different fields like mapping, installation, live cinema and new media.
And to conclude each day, we celebrated with a PyRformance (live audiovisual session) by some of the guest artists.
