Seeing Sound - Visual Music symposium, Bath Spa University 23/24 Nov, Reminder

Just to keep you posted re. this year's Seeing Sound..

1) Anyone who wants to submit a paper or creative work and hasn't done so, don't forget that the deadline is tomorrow, Friday 27th Sept (midnight GMT)

2) Many thanks to those of you who have already submitted. We've had a fantastic number and range of submissions, and are excited that we have such a wealth to choose from in putting together what is looking set to be a fantastic event.

3) A particularly exciting development: We're delighted to announce that we're able to include a reasonably comprehensive programme of works by John and James Whitney. These wonderful works are very rarely screened in the UK (or indeed elsewhere), so it'll be a fantastic opportunity to see some seminal visual music works from some of the pioneers of motion graphics. The full programme will be revealed soon, but it will be pretty spectacular. Where available, the works will be shown in recent and beautiful HD digital transfers; otherwise in original 16mm format. You won't want to miss it!

4) The selection process will begin next week, and a full programme for the event will be published on the Seeing Sound website by 17th October at the latest. Registation will open at the same time - http://www.seeingsound.co.uk
