DESCRIPTION:Seeing Sound\n\npractice-led research symposium, 19th/20th
  September 2009\n\nBath Spa University (UK) will host an informal two-
 day symposium exploring a broad range of multimedia work highlighting 
 the relationship between sound and image.\n\nAreas such as visual musi
 c, abstract cinema, experimental animation, lumia, cymatics, live audi
 ovisual performance and relevant installation work will be examined an
 d explored.\n\nThe event will feature paper and poster sessions, live 
 performances and film/video screenings (there may also be limited oppo
 rtunities for installation work) and will take place at the University
 's beautiful Georgian parkland campus and in central Bath.\n\nWe are c
 urrently seeking expressions of interest and proposals for content (wi
 thin any of the categories listed above). We have some funding for thi
 s event and may be able to at least cover expenses for contributors.\n
 \nThe deadline for contributions/proposals is Monday 31st August 2009.
