This is an experimental art film that laughs at itself while exploring alternative realities on multiple levels. The source material 35mm roll of film was one I had left over from my days as an animation DP (Director of Photography) in the 80's and 90's. All the art-on-film animation was created by myself and five students (Shannon Brice, Alleanna Harris, Ben Howell, Bianca Lott, & Austin Myers) from my 2013 Object Animation class at U-Arts in Philadelphia.
The film to digital transfer was done at Technicolor, Postworks in NYC.
The music is a live performance of the song "4 to 6 or 25" written and performed by Anonymous "Life in the Fridge" Tequila tag:visualmusic.ning.com,2012-09-01:2232935:Video:46764 2012-09-01T16:19:54.474Z Robert Lyons http://visualmusic.ning.com/profile/RobertLyons

This was one of many episodes of "Life in the Fridge" created for the first season of CBS Inc.'s Saturday morning, hit TV show, "Pee Wee's Playhouse" produced by Broadcast Arts in NYC during the summer of 1986. I worked as the DP (director of photography) with director: Rob Niosi, animator: Spencer Cook & producer Eric Herrmann. We shot all the episodes of Fridge on 35MM film with Mitchell cameras. In addition to doing the lighting and camera work I also did motion control and occasionally animated a shot or two. In this episode the freezer food is having a dance party and the ice cube mimics Pee Wee Herman's famous tippy toe tequila dance steps. I animated the ice cube close up shot with the spinning bow tie. Note: The live action character Cowboy Curtis is played by Lawrence Fishburne. The Joshua Light-show seen behind The Crinkle Cuts band was footage my father shot at a Jeff Beck concert at the Filmore East in NYC circa 1968 and was rear projected one frame at a time into the stop motion set. The song "It's Cold Inside" was written and performed by Mark Mothersbough of Devo.
