for Visual Music Artists, Writers, and Venues
Maryse 1B from Jean Detheux on Vimeo.
Here’s a test done years ago, and once again, a piece rescued from the web (no more uncompressed original, old drives are dying in droves).
Music is by Maryse Poulin, an old friend I haven’t heard from in a long while.
Part of my idea was triggered by a show of Charles Csuri’s work I saw at SIGGRAPH in Boston (2006, time flies), his “ribbon tool” looked intriguing, I duplicated some of its effects in Studio Artist (can’t even remember how) and this is one of the resulting sketches.
This is as far as I will go with “doodles on a ground,” am far more attracted to undifferentiated space than to a “cartoony world.”

Please consider supporting my work (VERY MUCH in need of support these days). You can make donations via PayPal, starting from here : http://www.vudici.net/movies/morphing.html#new123108 (this type of work receives very little help, if any, from the usual channels).
Thank you
