IN MEMORIAM

On November 23rd, 2011, Montserrat Figueras died http://www.alia-vox.com/.
She was one of my few goddesses, women who, like Aung San Suu Kyi, make manifest the best we all are capable of.
This sketch is my meagre tribute to an exceptional artist who, with her husband Jordi Savall, formed what must have been the ideal couple, united in love, life, and art.
I can't begin to imagine how devastated he must feel, my deepest sympathy goes to him and their two children (great musicians as well).
The music. "Al jorn del judici" ("EL CANT DE LA SIBIL-LA (Catalunya)") is haunting, it has been with me ever since I first heard it, many years ago.
