Magnificent improvisation on Bach’s Prelude in C minor, BWV 847 by Jean-François Zygel (the original video of the performance is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h-PhbHNAAS4). I discovered this performance when I was in the midst of a lot of work and yet, I had to drop all that I was doing in order to dive in this music, giving it many many hours, listening to it with my eyes. I fell behind on the other projects, but I most definitely have no regrets whatsoever.
I work with musicians who cover a broad spectrum of the music world, from ancient and baroque to bleeding-edge electroacoustic music, I am pulled in many different directions.
There are privileged moments when “all that” becomes one, as in the work I did with belgian pianist Jean-Philippe Collard-Neven (see this example of an improvisation, recorded live, in concert, on Scriabin's Prelude Opus 11 Nº 4: https://vimeo.com/25505797).
Jean-François Zygel’s take on this Bach prelude is one of those special moments, manifesting great respect for the original music while being fully involved in today’s musical language, a truly inspiring moment.
This is the kind of music I would love to improvise on/to visually, in real-time. I am convinced there’s a whole new world begging to be made visible, a world where improvised music and (equally improvised) images can come together and create, together in real-time, something that neither can make manifest alone.
May life grant me the time and the resources needed to contribute more to that.

Please consider supporting my work (VERY MUCH in need of support these days). You can make donations via PayPal, starting from here : http://www.vudici.net/movies/morphing.html#new123108 (this type of work receives very little help, if any, from the usual channels).
Thank you
