The Visual Music Village

for Visual Music Artists, Writers, and Venues

Here's another sketch done with music for which I have a "coup de coeur," music that brings me so much joy when I try, as is the case again, to listen to it "with my eyes."
This sketch could be taken further, but as it is not made "for festivals," it is done primarily for what is experienced while immersed in the "doing."
The music, composed by J. S. Bach (his organ concerto in D minor, BWV 596, after Vivaldi's concerto No 11, Op. 3, "l'Estro armonico" ), is magnificently interpreted by Bernard Foccroulle http://www.bach-cantatas.com/Bio/Foccroulle-Bernard.htm
Mr. Foccroulle and I were born in the same city (Liège, Belgium), a place I left over 40 years ago, but which has never left me.
Amongst his teachers, Bernard Foccroulle counts two of my musical heroes, Bernard Lagacé http://www.bach-cantatas.com/Bio/Lagace-Bernard.htm and Gustav Leonhardt http://www.bach-cantatas.com/Bio/Leonhardt-Gustav.htm
Here's a video of Bernard Foccroulle at the organ: http://vimeo.com/13933082
